Madhya Pradesh government
to release White Paper on malnutrition
The Madhya
Pradesh government will release a White Paper on malnutrition and
maternal-infant mortality rate. Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has made
an announcement in this regard.
AIR Correspondent
reports that in a meeting in capital Bhopal, chief minister Shivraj Singh
Chouhan instructed officials of the woman and child development and health
department to launch a joint drive to remove malnutrition from the state.
A committee
comprising woman and child development minister, health minister and other
senior officials has been set up to make necessary arrangements for this.
In some media
reports, it has been alleged that several children died due to malnutrition in
Sheopur district. However, the state government has denied any such death.
